The Palm Springs AIDS Memorial moved one step closer to reality as a ceremonious groundbreaking was held Monday, Dec. 1, at its future home in Downtown Park in Palm Springs.
Members of the Palm Springs AIDS Memorial Task Force, along with around 200 community members, gathered in downtown Palm Springs to celebrate the upcoming first-of-its-kind memorial in the city. Monday also marked World AIDS Day, a day meant to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and commemorate those who have died from the disease.
