LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A judge has dismissed several charges against a Louisville man accused in a deadly hit-and-run.
Police said Angelo Collier was speeding when he hit Vinnie Jacoway as he was crossing the road at Jefferson and Third streets in April 2023.
Jacoway was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Collier was charged with manslaughter, two charges of fleeing and evading police, and two counts of assault related to an additional crash during a pursuit.
A judge has dismissed the following charges: manslaughter, operating a vehicle without a license, receiving stolen property, leaving the scene of an accident, and tampering with physical evidence.
Collier is still charged with wanton endangerment, criminal mischief, and two counts of fleeing and evading police.
