After Penn State won its last three regular-season games to qualify for a bowl game, interim head coach Terry Smith, his assistants and the Nittany Lions’ players will have to wait a few more days to learn who they will face in the postseason.

With no game Saturday, let’s look at some Lions who made big strides in 2025.

The goal here is to focus on the not-so-obvious candidates. So, no Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton in this story.

Allen rumbled for 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is Penn State’s all-time leading rusher.

Singleton, a fourth-year senior like Allen, rushed for 13 touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass this season. He is the program’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns.

Here are four Lions to consider.
