EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene police arrested 38-year-old Cody Stogsdill on the 4000-block of Royal Avenue taking him to the Lane County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal trespass, theft, identity theft and first-degree forgery on Dec. 1 at 10:04 p.m.
The arrest came after an hours-long standoff with police, where one of the homeowners allowed Stogsdill to go inside their backyard shed to calm down.
A local resident who wishes to remain anonymous tells me what happened before police arrived at Royal Avenue.
“This guy came to the house and he was panicky … and he asked to use my phone,” an anonymous resident said. “He started taking off with my phone. And I yelled at him and he ignored it … I knew what house he was talking about and got my phone back and came back her
