An e-bike rider has tragically lost his life whilst two pedestrians have sustained serious injuries after a collision.

The incident occurred on Rochdale Road in Blackley, North Manchester.

Police have confirmed the rider, a male, was declared dead at the scene . Both pedestrians have been rushed to hospital and members of the public are being advised to steer clear of the area.

An extensive cordon has been established on Rochdale Road this evening. Road closures are also in effect on Whitemoss Road and Lionbrow Road.
