BAY VILLAGE, Ohio -- City Council has approved several ordinances clearing the way for the renovation and expansion of the city’s 53-year-old fire station.
The total projected cost is a little less than $11.47 million.
City Council on Monday (Dec. 1) unanimously authorized Mayor Paul Koomar to accept the proposed guaranteed maximum price (GMP) for the construction and renovation of the fire station, presented to the city by Regency Construction Services of Brook Park.
Regency, which is acting as construction manager at risk, determined that the project’s guaranteed maximum price is just over $10.4 million for the construction work.
The construction manager at risk would be responsible for any construction cost overruns, unless the city were to change the scope of the project.
