A series of domestic violence incidents in Central Florida around the Thanksgiving holiday have highlighted the increased stress and tension that can affect families and relationships during this time of year.

Deland Police arrested 36-year-old Christopher Allen on Monday after he allegedly forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's townhome on Voorhis Avenue, armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

The woman's roommate, who is also her ex-husband, confronted Allen and shot him in the side. Allen now faces eight felony charges.

In another case, 31-year-old Jon Christopher Fuller has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting his girlfriend's co-worker, Cameron Hoilette, at her apartment in Maitland on Thanksgiving Day. Maitland Police reported that Fuller shot Hoilette in the face foll
