MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Officers responded to the Drake apartments on Marsol Road at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 26 for a report of three teens trying to break into a car in the parking lot.

The caller said that he watched from a window on the seventh floor and saw another man with a gun confront the suspects. That man turned out to be the owner of the car and he met with officers by his damaged car. He said that he ran out of his apartment with a gun when he saw the suspects from his window. He said that one was already sitting in the driver’s seat and they all ran when he arrived.

A thorough search of the area was conducted with the assistance of a drone and all suspects were located after they entered the Goodwill Store on Mayfield Road.
