Mizzou finally faced a team with a pulse. After eight games, eight wins and an average margin of victory of 24.8 points, a trip to Notre Dame, at long last, presented a challenge.
Mark Mitchell and Jacob Crews were more than a match. They combined for 48 points. They scored more than half of MU’s field goals and all of the 3-pointers. More than two-thirds of the Tigers’ free throw attempts came from those two players.
