A manhunt is currently in progress in New South Wales, Australia, following a violent crime spree that resulted in one man dead and another critically injured. The incidents occurred just minutes apart in Eungella, located west of Murwillumbah, on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a property on Tyalgum Road at approximately 1.25pm after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered a 41-year-old man who had sustained gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been confirmed.
A second victim, a 38-year-old man, was later taken to hospital with serious injuries from a gunshot wound. He is currently receiving urgent medical care. New South Wales police reported that both men were allegedly shot by an unidentified gunman who fled the scene alongside a fourth individual.
In a separate incident on the same road, police were alerted to a 45-year-old man who had been struck by a vehicle. He is also receiving treatment in hospital and is under police guard. Authorities are now working to establish the circumstances surrounding both incidents and are keen to speak with the injured men.
Police are actively searching for a fourth person, believed to be 37 years old, who may have information relevant to the investigation. The situation remains fluid as law enforcement continues their efforts to apprehend the suspect responsible for the shootings.
