Strider Carhart tallied two goals with two assists for Manasquan in its 4-3 victory over Howell in its season opener at the Howell Ice World in Farmingdale.
Christophe Mimaud scored the first goal of the game for Manasquan for his first career varsity goal. With Manasquan p 1-0, Hayden Nubile tied the game for Howell (0-1) later in the first period. Carhart put Manasquan back in front after scoring an unassisted goal.
Nicholas Demarco extended the Manasquan lead in the second period to 3-1 after scoring a goal. Andras Nagy-Melykuti then scored back-to-back goals for Howell to tie the game at 3-3.
Carhart scored the lone goal of the third period as Manasquan pulled away with the win.
Matthew Titner recorded an assist for Manasquan.
