With the regular season over and signing day here , decisions will have to be made by Michigan players already on the roster.

And one player has already elected to move on.

Reserve offensive lineman Connor Jones has elected to enter the transfer portal when it opens on Jan. 2, a source with knowledge of the move confirmed to MLive/ The Ann Arbor News.

Players cannot formally enter the transfer portal until Jan. 2, the new start date for one, singular portal window that runs through Jan. 16. Exceptions will be made for players whose school hires a new head coach after the Jan. 2 date.

Jones, a senior who appeared in 11 games during his Michigan career, has one season of eligibility remaining.
