Sally Lindsay's cosy crime series The Madame Blanc Mysteries has confirmed its Christmas special air date. The show is due to return soon for the festive episode – which will be feature-length.

5 has now revealed that it will broadcast on 23 December (aka Christmas Eve Eve) at 8pm , running at two hours – so make sure you tuck in for the evening.

The special will put Lindsay's character Jean White and co against the clock in a "very extraordinary situation".

During the Christmas Eve event at the Musée de Sainte Victoire, Jean is "invited to authenticate a newly acquired treasure – a rare Ormolu box once owned by Marie Antoinette".
