Syracuse, N.Y. — The Section III boys and girls hockey seasons are underway, with plenty of drama waiting to unfold.
The biggest spotlight will be on Skaneateles, which will be aiming for an unprecedented fourth-straight state Division II title. The Lakers are under new management this season, with former assistant Jeff Bobbett replacing Mitch Major as head coach.
In Division I, West Genesee will be trying to chase down its fifth-straight sectional championship. But RFA was skating right within the shadow of the Wildcats last year, and should do the same this season.
In girls play, Skaneateles is tasked with replacing several departed contributors from last year. But the Lakers have a knack for developing new talent, and this season should be no different.
