A German Shepherd suffered to death in the woods near Penticton and BC SPCA is hoping to catch the person responsible.
The dog’s remains were discovered by a girl and her grandfather in a remote, mountainous region south of Penticton, on McIntyre Creek Road near Vaseaux Lake, according to a release from the SPCA.
An animal protection officer determined upon investigation the German Shepherd had been muzzled and tied tightly to a tree prior to its death. A graphic photo of the scene shows a significantly decayed body, still tied to a tree with a muzzle over its snout.
