Coyotes are being seen in more urban areas of Middle Tennessee.
Several organized hunts are specifically for coyotes.
A coyote getting into Nashville’s Music City Center in 2019 before it was safely removed wasn't the norm then, nor is it now.
But it does reflect a substantial coyote population in Middle Tennessee that experts say hasn't gone away and has raised concerns among area residents.
“They are everywhere,” said Marc Larese, a Wilson County resident who organizes one of multiple specific coyote hunts in Tennessee.
Larese, a staff member with FoxPro that sells predator game call products, is often hired to hunt and remove coyotes all around Middle Tennessee.
“Just because you don’t see them … they are there,” Larese said.
