A man was arrested after he was linked to two separate violent rape attacks, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect was identified as 30-year-old Dionne le Trell Southall.

On May 25, deputies began investigating a sexual battery that occurred in the 17800 block of Southeast 109th Avenue in Summerfield.

The victim reported that she had agreed to meet a man named "Chris Rous," who had sent her a friend request on Facebook. She said they had been communicating for the past three days.

The victim said she was instructed to meet up with Rous in the back of a business area. However, she instead encountered Southall, who had been using a fake profile to lure her.

She said Southall demanded she take her clothes off, threatened her with a knife and raped her.
