Ole Miss legend Eli Manning couldn’t help but respond to new LSU head coach Lane Kiffin’s claim that Rebels fans tried to run him off the road as he left Mississippi for Baton Rouge on Sunday.
“Oops!” Manning, 44, joked in a tweet on X, including a news headline about the alleged incident.
Before his illustrious career with the Giants, Manning was a high-profile quarterback at Ole Miss from 2000-03, and his No. 10 jersey was retired by the program.
His father, former NFL quarterback Archie Manning, had a historic career with the Rebels from 1968-70.
Manning weighed in on Kiffin’s job saga after the coach bolted from Ole Miss to the SEC rival LSU right before the 11-1 Rebels make a run in the College Football Playoff.
