ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Driverless cars are coming to St. Louis.

Waymo announced on Wednesday that the full-autonomous ride-hailing service will have cars on the road starting this week.

To start, Waymo’s Jaguar I-PACE vehicles are manually driven to get to know the community before welcoming riders.

“Waymo’s arrival in St. Louis is an exciting step forward for our state,” said Jon Patterson, Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives. “It will offer a safe and reliable transportation option for its residents. I look forward to working with Waymo to safely introduce this technology to our communities.”
