This week's movie calendar is leaving no doubt about whether or not it's holiday movie season.

Muscle memory is making it hard for me not to type "Elf" into every sentence.

While there is plenty of "Elf" and various versions of the Grinch available, there are also these other movies playing around the Twin Cities.

Wednesday, Dec. 3–Sunday, Dec. 7, at Heights Theater

So begins the Heights' annual run of "White Christmas," the classic holiday movie from director Michael Curtiz, starring Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, and Danny Kaye. There will be pre-movie holiday music on the stage before each screening.
