MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - A new era of Kansas State football is expected to be on the horizon.

According to several reports, K-State head football coach Chris Klieman is expected to retire from his role, and the university is set to replace him with Collin Klein. The news was first reported by the Manhattan Mercury .

In seven seasons as K-State head coach, Klieman has gone 54-37. In 2022, he won the Big 12 Championship to lead the Wildcats to a Sugar Bowl appearance. Prior to his arrival in Manhattan, the 58-year-old won four national titles as the head coach of North Dakota State.
