Point Edward is inviting everyone over Saturday for Christmas.
The 14th annual Christmas in the Village runs Saturday, Dec. 6, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with live music, wagon rides, hot chocolate and cookies at the fire hall, free family “snow globe” photos, vendors booths, balloon twisting, crafts and cider at the library, visits with Santa and more.
The annual family-friendly holiday event is organized by the Village of Point Edward and there’s no charge for most activities, said Shelley Archer, the village’s special events coordinator.
“It’s so hard for families to go out . . . without spending a lot of money,” she said. “I’d say pretty much 80 per cent of this is free.”
Michigan Avenue will be closed to traffic between Monk and Livingston streets and the Dan Butts Trio will be performing
