KENTUCKY – Multiple types of shredded cheese are being recalled due to containing potential metal fragments, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
The FDA says the voluntary recall falls under a Class II classification, meaning use or exposure to the product could cause temporary or medically reversible health consequences or where the possibility of serious adverse health consequences is considered remote.
According to health officials, the recall includes but is not limited to the following products:
Good & Gather mozzarella and parmesan shredded cheese blend, fine cut, 8 ounces.
Good & Gather mozzarella and provolone, classic, 8 ounces.
Always Save low-moisture part-skim mozzarella shredded cheese
Borden low-moisture part-skim mozzarella shredded cheese
