Joshua Van has been on a rapid rise to the UFC’s summit in the last year.

On Saturday, the 24-year-old becomes the first fighter born in the 2000s to challenge for a UFC title.

He faces dominant flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja in the co-main event of UFC 323 , where a victory could act as the catalyst for a legacy similar to the likes of Jon Jones and Jose Aldo .

Van was born in war-torn Myanmar in October 2001, but his family quickly migrated to the United States, seeking a better life.
