Heavy police presence at McDonald’s in Ridgeland, avoid the area

RIDGELAND, S.C. (WTOC) - There is currently a heavy police presence at the McDonald’s in Ridgeland, according to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

The JCSO, the Ridgeland Police Department, and South Carolina DNR “have worked together to take a wanted individual into custody,” the JCSO says in a social media post .

There is no threat to the public, but the JCSO asks for locals and travelers to please avoid the area if possible while the scene is being cleared.
