LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Holiday cheer is taking over the Sames Auto Arena on Wednesday night with Navidad Fest, a community celebration featuring lights, family fun, and festive surprises.

Jorge Quijano of the Sames Auto Arena said the event offers “so many activities and it’s free and open to the public!” Activities include free ice skating —with tickets required — photos with Santa, free hot chocolate and cookies, a snow slide, a train ride and a tree lighting at 7 p.m.

A Santa’s workshop and craft station will also be available.

The event runs from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Sames Auto Arena. Visitors can also look forward to local school performances, a pet holiday fashion show, and additional seasonal entertainment.
