MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — WVU will have a new provost in place in the next several days, according to WVU President Michael T. Benson.

Benson said four finalists for the university’s top academic officer are making visits to campus this week. They have a variety of meetings including those with the search committee, faculty, staff and students

The finalists include Jennifer Roberts from the University of Kansas. Lee Michael Cohen from the University of Mississippi and Beverly Wendland, former provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and current senior advisor to the chancellor at George Washington University in St. Louis. The name of the fourth finalist will be released Thursday, a day before their campus visit..
