A former Girlguiding leader who claimed she was dismissed due to her gender-critical views has praised the organisation's policy shift to prevent trans girls from joining as members. Girlguiding – which boasts approximately 300,000 UK members spanning its Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers divisions – has announced it will now exclusively permit those registered female at birth to participate.
