The slumping Vancouver Canucks have made a couple of roster moves.
Canucks general manager announced on Wednesday that goalie Nikita Tolopilo and defenceman Elias Pettersson have been assigned to AHL Abbotsford.
Tolopilo, 25, went 1-1 with a 3.56 goals-against average and .892 save percentage in his two starts for the Canucks this season.
He was granted a leave of absence by the team on Monday after his wife went into labour.
Pettersson, 21, recorded two assists in 24 games with the Canucks this season.
The Swedish defenceman made his NHL debut with Vancouver last season and picked up one goal and two assists over 28 games.
The Canucks have lost six of their past seven games and sit second-last in the Pacific Division with a 10-14-3 record.
