A Sarnia man is charged with assault with a weapon after a baseball bat wrapped in a bicycle chain was used during a dispute between two roommates, Sarnia police say.
The disturbance in a housing unit in the 100 block of George Street happened Tuesday shortly after noon, police said.

“A witness reported that two males had been fighting and that one was armed with a baseball bat,” police said in a statement issued Wednesday.
A man in the front entrance of the building, who appeared to be in distress, told police he’d been hit with a baseball bat after bumping his roommate during an argument over their mutual living arrangements.
Following the bump, the roommate used a bat, with a bicycle chain screwed to it, to strike the man in the shoulder, arms and back.
