Drake Maye’s performance against the New York Giants earned him the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
It marks the first time Maye has earned the honor, and first time a Patriots quarterback was named Player of the Week since Tom Brady in 2017.
Maye went 24-of-31 for 282 yards and two touchdowns in New England’s 33-15 win over the Giants on Monday night at Gillette Stadium. He also earned a 126.0 passer rating.
The 23-year-old has taken a big step in Year 2 and has helped put the Patriots atop the AFC standings and put himself in the MVP conversation .
The Patriots enter their bye with an 11-2 record — the best in the NFL. They return to action Dec. 14 against the Buffalo Bills with a chance to clinch the AFC East for the first time since 2019.
