Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Carney has revealed she missed a major achievement on the series after making sure an 'emotional' Carlos Gu was ‘okay’.

The former England Lioness was back on the dancefloor on Saturday night (December 6) alongside professional dancer Calos Gu. The pair began their journey by scoring the highest points tally in week one, where she became the first footballer in 18 years to top the Strictly leaderboard.

Karen and Carlos had their highest scoring dance to date on Saturday night (November 29) as they performed their Couple's Choice routine to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way. The judges were full of praise for the routine, with Craig Revel Horwood telling Karen she ‘got into the Champions League’.
