EUCLID, Ohio -- The city of Euclid this week began chopping down about 170 tree lawn trees throughout the city as part of a nearly $200,000 investment in the city’s urban forest management.
The project targets dead or diseased trees that pose potential risks to nearby properties and other trees. The initiative represents one of the largest recent commitments to enhancing Euclid’s urban canopy.
Residents whose trees were marked for removal received postcards last month notifying them of the work. Yard signs will be placed near active removal sites, and door hangers will be left at adjacent homes after trees are removed to provide additional information.
The multi-phase project is expected to take several months, with all contract work projected to be completed by spring 2026. Stumps will
