JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - Crews are working to fix a natural gas line in Jackson on Wednesday afternoon, December 3.
According to the city, they were notified early Wednesday afternoon of a natural gas line leak on Dorothy Drive.
Utility crews are working on-site.
As a precaution, they say Dorothy Drive is temporarily closed between N. Farmington Rd. and Alvin St. while repairs are underway.
Detour signs have been posted.
Jackson Fire and Rescue also responded to the area. They evacuated a few nearby homes as a precaution.
In addition, according to the city, some homes may experience brief power shutoffs.
