MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) — A Summerville man was arrested after leading deputies on a vehicle pursuit and fleeing on foot before being captured.
Shahied Cedrick Ladson, 22, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and second-degree burglary, Sheriff Duane Lewis said.
On Dec. 1, a deputy patrolling just before 10 a.m. near North Main Street and St. James Avenue saw a white Toyota sedan exit a gas station at a high rate of speed and nearly hit the patrol vehicle.
The driver, later identified as Ladson, refused to stop and led deputies on a pursuit that continued to the area of Royle Road.
