The City of Fort Saskatchewan has installed a new Communication Board at Pryce Alderson Park, marking the first installation of this inclusive equipment at a city playground in Fort Saskatchewan.
Communication boards are a piece of equipment that has an array of pictures and diagrams on it, used to help children and adults with language difficulties express needs and feelings through pointing.
Pryce Alderson Park underwent a redesign over the summer, adding many new play features.
In addition to the Communication board, the City has also lowered the height of the swing sets to assist younger and smaller children in playing independently.
