A 30-year-old Chicago man was arrested today on a federal charge of sexual exploitation of a child for the way he allegedly pretended to be a Boston-area teen to get a young Brookline teen to perform naked for him on Snapchat and Signal.

Joshua Rogers interacted with the girl, 14, over several days in July, leading to her assenting to his requests to send him naked photos and videos over for hour after hour on July 18, an online assignation that ended when her parents learned - from the parents of one of her friends - what she was doing and contacted Brookline Police, according to an affidavit by an FBI agent on the case.
