SPOKANE, Wash. -- You can't lick the walls but the largest gingerbread house in Washington state is now on display in downtown Spokane.
Open in the lobby of the Centennial Hotel, the gingerbread house was constructed by the Davenport Confectioners and Engineering Teams to bring a life-sized house guests can step inside and take pictures in.
According to the hotel, the house was made with more than 1,000 pounds of flour, 200 pounds of sugar, four pounds of cinnamon, four pounds of ginger, and about 750 pounds of molasses for the dough. It's then held together by 1,080 pounds of buttercream and royal icing.
The house measures at approximately 10 feet tall which makes it one of the largest ever built in Washington and on par with the current Guinness World Record.
