Nine months ago, the Resurrection Christian girls basketball team celebrated its first-ever state championship after defeating Denver Christian in the Class 3A title game at the University of Denver.
As the Cougars prepare to embark on their first season as the reigning champions, they will feature a roster full of new faces and one, who happens to be the team’s only senior, returning after missing the championship run with an injury.
After all five of its starters from last year’s team graduated, the Cougars are eager for the challenge, especially knowing they will have a target on their back every night. This is the first time in his 12-year tenure at RCS that head coach Jason Conrad has had all five of his starters from the year before graduate.
