AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Dogs at Augusta Animal Services received an early Christmas surprise as two local brothers delivered toys and treats.
This is through a national foundation dedicated to bringing holiday joy to shelter animals.
Brian and Chris Weeks partnered with the Karen Cooper Foundation to distribute gifts to dogs at the local shelter. The foundation brings Christmas presents to shelter dogs across the United States, reaching 56 shelters.
“That’s a lot of fun to play Santa. Bringing Christmas joy to the dogs in the shelter, which you’ve seen earlier, how excited they are, it’s a lot of fun,” Brian Weeks said.
The foundation began with a simple question Karen Cooper asked her husband years ago about what happens to dogs on Christmas morning.
