Star Wars has surprisingly revealed a brand-new lightsaber wielded by Kylo Ren amid one of his most intense dark side trials. As seen in the new and canonical comics from Marvel, it's been revealed that the Supreme Leader briefly used a completely different lightsaber than the iconic crossguard saber seen in the sequels.

Set between the events of The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker , Marvel's ongoing Legacy of Vader series has seen Kylo Ren learning more about his grandfather's life and power in the dark side, aided by Vaneé, the still-living caretaker of Vader's castle on Mustafar.
