In the Crimson Tide's return to Coleman Coliseum after nearly three weeks on the road, Alabama basketball fans are in for a matchup that brings up fond memories.
No. 12 Alabama (5-2) meets Clemson (7-1) in the SEC/ACC Challenge, marking the teams' first meeting since the 2024 Elite Eight game that ultimately saw Nate Oats lead his program to a historic Final Four.
Oats touted Brad Brownell's Tigers as "one of the best programs in the ACC" on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Yet, Clemson hasn't notched that marquee win to become a ranked team in the 2025-26 season. Against an injury-bitten Alabama squad, the Tigers will be clawing for an upset, knowing the Quad 1 matchup could be the victory needed to jump into the top 25.
