AUBURN — Corey Wells , a four-star defensive lineman who committed to Texas in June, flipped his pledge Wednesday, Dec. 3, and signed with Auburn football , giving head coach Alex Golesh his biggest flip yet.
Wells' brother, three-star South Alabama commit Chris Wells, also flipped to the Tigers.
A native of Petal, Mississippi, Corey Wells committed to the Longhorns three days after an official visit to Austin on June 6. Since then, he has only taken one other visit, according to his 247Sports profile. That was an unofficial trip to Auburn in September.
With his addition, Wells becomes the fourth-highest-rated prospect either signed or committed to Auburn's 2026 recruiting class. Wells is the 15th addition to Auburn's class, and he's the sixth blue-chip prospect in the bunch.
