It's felt like the middle of winter the past few days with multiple rounds of snow and frigid temperatures. And it's going to get even colder before the week is through. Omaha's Weather Leader has deemed Wednesday and Thursday impact weather days with a blast of arctic air settling in across eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa.

Plan for highs in the 30s early Wednesday. Then, temperatures are expected to fall the rest of the day as north wind ramps up and arctic air spills in. Can't rule out a brief mix or flurries as well.

By Wednesday evening wind chill values could dip below zero. Then, as clouds clear and wind calms overnight air temperatures are forecast to drop below zero in parts of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa as arctic high pressure settles in.
