MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Madison Police Department is investigating after a bullet was fired into an empty unit Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 2:15 p.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of Monterey Drive after the property manager called authorities. The property manager told police that a tenant had told her about a bullet going into an empty unit.
When they arrived, officers spoke with the tenant, who told them the gunshot happened last week.
Authorities reviewed video, which showed a person messing with a weapon when it went off.
The man who allegedly fired the shot is currently at the Dane County Jail on a probation hold.
Evidence shows there is reason to arrest the man for felon in possession of firearm and a citation of discharging a firearm.
