Gov. Josh Shapiro says he’s known former Vice President Kamala Harris for at least 20 years.
So the usually composed and polished Mr. Shapiro uncharacteristically lashed out when he learned that Ms. Harris had painted him as “selfish, petty and monomaniacally ambitious,” as The Atlantic reported, in her book, “107 Days,” which recounts the 2024 veepstakes and the decision to tap Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz over Mr. Shapiro and other finalists.
“I can tell you that her accounts are just blatant lies,” Mr. Shapiro told the magazine in one of several interviews over the last few months for a story that published Wednesday.
