It’s not a big class, but the Colorado football team has filled some needs with its 2026 crop of recruits.
On Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period, CU signed nine high school players and one junior college prospect.
The class has a heavy emphasis on defense and the offensive line, with three linebackers, two defensive backs and three offensive linemen.
While it’s one of the smallest classes in the Big 12, it falls in line with head coach Deion Sanders’ philosophy of not loading up on a large amount of prep players. The Buffs also aren’t done, with two more days in the early period, plus the signing period in February.
“You want about 15 to 17 high school kids,” Sanders said last week.
