PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - One Pike County woman was arrested after she was accused of trafficking meth and marijuana.
The incident happened on Nov. 26 on U.S. 23.
It began when police said they noticed that Madison Lashae Balo, who was a passenger in a vehicle along with the driver, were not wearing their seat belts.
When police pulled them over, they searched the vehicle.
Police later found bags that had contained a large amount of a substance they identified as meth along with bags containing a green-leaf substance they believed was marijuana.
Gabapentin pills as well as scales with white powder-like residue were also seized along with cash.
Balo, 31, of Virgie, was charged with multiple drug trafficking charges as well as failure to not wear seat belt.
