ROCHESTER, Minn.- The Minnesota Department of Vehicle Services released a statement on Tuesday, Dec. 2, that it would be pausing any new Non-Domiciled Commercial Driver's Licenses in the state following a federal audit.
The United States Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is asking several states to conduct an internal review of their Non-Domiciled CDL programs after finding evidence of illegal licenses that had been issued.
The Non-Domiciled License is for foreign drivers who aren't from reciprocity countries like Canada or Mexico, who are in the US on a work permit.
