LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Attorneys have filed their first wrongful death suits against UPS and others following the deadly crash of a cargo plane at Louisville’s Muhammad Ali International Airport on Nov. 4, 2025.

UPS 2976, an MD-11 bound for Honolulu, crashed shortly after takeoff. The three-member crew was killed, and 11 others were killed on the ground afterward.

Clifford Law Offices of Chicago, along with Sam Aguiar of Louisville, Kentucky, filed the first wrongful death lawsuits on Wednesday against multiple parties. Clifford Law Offices worked on the case of a 1979 crash at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, a case that’s been heavily compared to the crash in Louisville.
